Our Vision
To provide genuine quality vintage and preloved items in a bricks and mortar shop.
We want to build a real-life community of vintage clothing appreciators, by encouraging conversation and interaction in our welcoming, cosy shop.
We regularly update our shop with clothing for all and hope that everyone can find something that they love. Everyone is welcome at Cotton Town Vintage & Preloved.
Community
Blackburn and Darwen are known for their textile history. In the 1900's, Blackburn was the world leader in the production of cotton cloth and employed more weavers than any other town in the world.
Cotton Town Vintage and Preloved is therefore a nod to our heritage and is an accurate description of what we stand for.
Our offering celebrates the rich and varied independent retailers that thrived in Blackburn through the 80's and 90's.
To this day, Blackburn & Darwen remain proud of this heritage, playing host to the British Textiles Biennial, Adidas Spezial Exhibition & CP Company's 50th anniversary exhibition, "Cinquanta".
We stock many items that remind us of where we've been and where we are heading.
We also like to support local artists in the community, we have a display of local artists' work for sale in the shop.
Sustainability
All our items are high quality vintage and preloved.
Each item has been on a journey and we aim for that journey to continue for many years to come.
The current level of waste produced by the clothing industry is unsustainable and harmful to the environment.
There's enough preloved clothing in the world for us all, and we encourage everyone to participate in the vintage and preloved revolution.
